Connected Learning workshops were held in November to update parents on our
partnership with Connected Learning. The program strives to connect the
learning that occurs in schools with the learning that happens at home.
Guidance counselor Lauren Brown facilitated these workshops by highlighting
the program’s various components:
- Teaching
Matters provides professional development to WSC teachers in the areas of curriculum and technology
- Computers for Youth provides free technology resources to our students
- Common Sense is
an on-line internet safety and digital media ethics program
- Mouse is a
program that provides training in areas around tech support
Parent
turn out was high at both informative workshops and families left with
packets of resources and a list of ideas for the next parent workshop. |
