Parent High School Articulation Meetings for 6th and 7th grade parents

On Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 8am and 5:30 pm, and Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 1pm, Parent Coordinator Tracy McClaire will be holding information sessions for parents about the high school articulation process.

At the beginning of their eighth grade year, public school students begin their high school articulation process. This process should not begin when students enter the eighth grade. Rather, it is a process that requires constant parental involvement and planning to ensure that students’ high school placements are appropriate. Given the importance of this choice, our school will be devoting time for parent workshops devoted to the complexity of the high school application process.

As a current 6th or 7th grade parent you can begin working with your child around their academics and to target schools that will be right for your child. That said, it is important to be aware of the selection process as you begin identifying the high schools you feel may be appropriate for you child.
To help you learn more about the process, I would like to invite you to one of three meetings to discuss the high school articulation process. Although attendance is not mandatory, it is highly recommended. We will be holding three high school articulation meetings for your convenience.

The dates are:

Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 8am
Wednesday, May 29, 2013at 5:30 pm
Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 1pm

Please call the office at 212-866-6313 to register.
